Focus

I have spent much of my adult life searching for ways to be at peace with life as it presents itself. I've taken dance classes, traveled, practiced the Sedona Method, yoga and meditation, talked with friends and therapists.

As this new global challenge has risen, one practice has kept me in a state of inner peace: focusing on what I am doing in the moment. When I cut a slice of bread for lunch I focused on the knife slicing the bread and enjoyed the experience. When I sat at my desk I noticed the joyful clicking sounds of my computer keyboard and the blossoming trees outside my window.

I cannot control much of life but I can control what I focus on and how it makes me feel. And if my mind gets overwhelmed.....I find my breath.

Time invested: each moment.

Cost: free.

Time I feel joyful: when I stay in the present moment.

About Daily Joy

Inner peace is my goal. I am humbled by the possibility of helping others experience joy, through the stillness of yoga, a beautifully designed home, the art of fashion, or words on a page. Here I will share thoughts, words, images, concepts, products, and events that bring joy into my life, in the hopes of adding joy to yours.

Namaste
